At Active Solutions Physiotherapy, we believe that being active is the solution to controlling injuries. After manual therapy has relieved painful injuries, patients need to strengthen weak muscles and often need to be taught how to change their movement strategy to control pain.
We understand different people have different attitudes and thoughts about exercise and therefore we have different options to help you achieve your full physical potential in a way that you actually enjoy.
- Home Exercises – Our Physiotherapists are experts in providing you with the most relevant and specific exercises (usually 1-3 exercises) for you to perform at home independently to ease pain and then build up your strength. Gone are the days of exercises given to you as you walk out the door, we spend time teaching and practicing your exercise technique so you are confident to complete your regime at home.
- Physio Exercise – The clinic has the renowned Balanced Body Allegro Reformer which is an extremely versatile piece of equipment for teaching new movement strategies, Gymstick with 3 resistance levels for strength, Matrix Cable Weights machine and equipment for plyometric exercises. Individual programs are developed for improving body awareness, strength, balance and co-ordination. We offer 3-1 group sessions with the physiotherapist and the session can be claimed with private health insurance.
- Personal Training – Active Solutions Physiotherapy has our own Personal Trainer and we offer 2 options: “1:1 Personal Training” or “Back on Track” group exercise class for women whose bodies are sensitive to traditional exercise.
