Megan O'Shea Principle Physiotherapist - Active Solutions Physiotherapy Floreat Western Australia-circle

Megan O’Shea

Principal Physiotherapist

Megan studied at Curtin University for both her Bachelor of Physiotherapy (1998) and Masters in Manipulative Therapy (2005) qualifications. She also completed certification as a Polestar Rehabilitation Pilates Practitioner (2004) and further study in Women’s Health, Continence and Pelvic Pain (2013).

She founded and opened Active Solutions Physiotherapy in 2016.

Megan has always worked in Private Practice with manual therapy and in exercise studios, treating spinal pain and sports injuries. Since having her own children, her work focus has increasingly extended into in the area of Women’s Health, Continence and Pelvic Pain.

Megan has worked in Perth, Melbourne, London and rural Ireland. Her patients have been as diverse as her geography from Highflying finance brokers to Cow farmers, from weekend casual sportspersons to Olympians.

The diverse workplace and cultural experience gained throughout her career, coupled with continuing professional development, has culminated in Megan becoming a skilled and empathetic Physiotherapist.

These days Megan’s time is divided between treating her patients (her favourite thing to do), co-ordinating the impossible 3 kids x 2 sports each (not her favourite at 9am Sunday), running the business, returning to competitive sport (she is getting too old for competitive sport really) and negotiating school pick up with her husband.

Michelle Mac Siomoin

Senior Physiotherapist

Michelle hails from the same Irish town as where Megan’s (Practice Owner) Irish family is based!! Michelle moved to Perth specifically to study Physiotherapy at Curtin University, graduating in 2008 and completed the Polestar Pilates Rehabilitation course in 2012.

Michelle has extensive experience working in Private Practice. Her treatment is very hands on, transitioning to correcting poor movement when pain is controlled. She ensures her patients understand what their condition on injury is and how best to manage it themselves.

Clinically Michelle has a specific interest in the treatment of low back, pelvic and hip pain. This interesting and complex region of the body, requires the attention of a skilled physiotherapist.

Outside of work, Michelle is kept busy with her two little boys. You will also find Michelle in the gym (trying her best to lift or move heavy stuff!!), in the Pilates studio (fine tuning), running or more recently learning to surf (open to interpretation). Free weekends are spent camping as there really is nothing better than a Wander out Yonder

Annie George Physiotherapist Active Solutions Physiotherapy Perth

Annie George

Senior Physiotherapist

Annie graduated in 1994 and has completed additional Pilates Certifications. Annie has practiced on both sides of Australia as well as the UK and US. This unique opportunity to travel whilst honing her skills has given a breadth of experience in both best practice and patient care.

After 10 years overseas, it was time for her family to come home. Annie is thoroughly enjoying being back in Perth, now complete with teenage angst, dog walking (usually alone although they said they would help!), tennis with friends and the beach as often as possible with her husband.

Emily Hagan

Emily completed her degree at Curtin University, and has always worked in private practice. She has completed additional training in manual therapy and dry needling, as well as strength and conditioning and pilates. Emily uses a combination of hands on therapy and exercise to get your pain under control and find long term solutions.

Emily has represented Australia at two world championships in the sport of synchronised ice skating – she loves to integrate this experience within her practice, treating sports injuries of all kinds with the understanding of an athlete and a physiotherapist. She has a particular clinical interest in managing hypermobility and working with dancers, gymnasts and yogis of all levels.

Outside of work, you’ll likely find Emily down at the ice rink, doing a yoga class or out for a coffee with friends!

Kennedy George

Kennedy George

Kennedy is another physio in the clinic who was raised in the wheatbelt! She is both genuine and very practical! She is expert at listening to you, problem solving to understand the driver of your problem and effectively treating YOU!

Kennedy knows how to fix pain with hands on treatment and physio advice. Then she is able to transition to exercise treatment to show you how to be your best!

Outside of work she always finds time for the guitar, illustrating, keeping active at the gym, camping, coffee with mates and visiting family down south.

Edouard remy

Massage therapist

Edouard is a remedial massage therapist, originally from France but has been calling Perth home for the past three years.

His love for the great outdoors lead him to work as a landscaper for 10 years in France, the UK, USA and Australia before turning his focus from plants to people!

He discovered the benefits of how remedial massage complements physiotherapy after dislocating his shoulders snowboarding and is now providing effective massage techniques to relieve pain, loosen the tight muscles in your body and around your injury.
